Goose Bumps and Patriotism

Don't you just love Canada?

What great people and what a great neighbor!

I always get goose bumps, watching the opening ceremony of the Olympic games. But as impressive as the Chinese were last summer, there was just a small thought that kept intruding that if any of the players 'screwed up' their life might be 'changed' forever!

With Canada, you just know that no one was harmed in the making of this spectacle!

I hope they win the hockey gold!

(Don't tell The Mister I said that...)

Hey!
I'm rooting for them, too!

I think this was the first time I watched the entire opening ceremonies! Didn't you just love it? Man! Hats off to our Canadian friends AND those unbelievably creative set designers.

I do love Canada. Their warmth and hospitality are the stuff of legends. And the country is amazingly beautiful! I'm hoping they win hockey gold too, although they might kick me out of the house here if I let on, lol....

I loved the opening ceremony - that bit with the whales was INCREDIBLE.

I did not watch the opening ceremonies, but I can vouch for the friendliness of those Canadiens. Remember...I was engaged to one of them once!

Well, considering it was the Vancouvering Canadics that laid me off back in the day....I was not so impressed.

But I did love Montreal when I went there for work...before I was laid off, that is...by the Canadics...
